Romancing @ Wiki, it is fully playable, still in development though; new characters could be created, etc. Those characters and other things are in patches you apply to the ROM File.

I believe the "horseman" is the Dragoon from FF Tactics. I might be wrong though

If you´re still alive and Saruin haven´t activate your reviverspell my a mortal wound, use in the second turn shadowservant to deal greater damage, unless Saruin hit you physical, so you would have to use SS again.If everyone is still alright, begin with your attacks.Don´t forget to cast reviver again, after it has you brougth back to life and repeat.Saruin should go down quickly, like the Destroyer (fullpowered).I wish you good luck, if you encounter him.^^

While I was looking this video, I have figured out how you can beat Saruin. Do you all remember the firespell reviver? In this party, there was only one guy, who can use that spell. If everyone can use that spell, nobody would have to fear of the zodiacfall or other nasty technics of Saruin. At first, everyone get into the tigercaveformation rigth before you challenge him. Then in your first Round cast on everyone reviver.
