Oh so they fought in a cause they believed in soulkeeper1968? Uncle Karl died in Russia & is buried there. He had no option BUT to fight. My grandparents, especially Granny despised Hitler and called him the devil. After living through the war years in Vienna she was even glad her daughter married an English man and came to live in England. She didn't want mum marrying some nazi scum. Mum's only brother died for nothing, just sent to Russia as cannon fodder. May he R.I.P.

Hero's everyone of them. They faught and died for a cause they believed in. How many soldiers do today. Take a look at the British Army in Afganistan the fools dont even know why they are there.

Great video. My grandfather was in the US 5th Army in Italy, and knew a great many German POW's. He always said that they were mostly good people who were forced into the war just like everyone else. A German officer who had no shoes (it was in the winter) gave my Grandfather his bayonette for a pair of boots. I still have it on my wall. It's a shame that so many young German boys died, and that's something that's forgotten today. I'm not defending Nazis, but ALL the deaths were a shame.
